Pinarello produced vintage bicycle frames
Cicli Pinarello S.p.A. was founded by Giovanni Pinarello in 1952 in Treviso, Italy. Pinarello began as an amateur and by 1946 he had achieved around 60 victories. He subsequently decided to become a professional cyclist. In the 1960s Pinarello was the main supplier for famous racing teams such as Team Telekom, Banesto and Movistar Team.
Pinarello’s international success
10 Tour de France victories have been achieved on Pinarello bikes. Originally Pinarello frames were made of steel, mainly using tubes by Columbus. However over the years other materials like aluminium, magnesium or carbon fiber were used instead. In 2005 Pinarello presented the first bicycle frame made entirely out of carbon fibre, the F4:13.
